We really enjoyed the multiple trips to the San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park this year. Here is a butterfly, who enjoyed Mushroom's hat during our March visit.

This gorgeous black and violet butterfly found its garden of earthly delights, and blended in perfectly!

This beautiful but pretty beat up butterfly sat atop the banana peel the whole visit in the butterfly enclosure. He l-o-v-e-d the sweet banana taste!

Look carefully, and you'll see at least 8-10 butterflies in this photo. Can't see 'em all? There on, in, above and under the plant - butterflies galore!

A flock of Birds of Paradise look like they are taking flight. What a gorgeous plant, and lots of homes have them here. (Yes, even Great Grandma Eda Bea!)

Pachyderms to the right of us, bunnies all over the place! See the lone itsy bitsy bunny in the center? Multiply that by 10 and that's about how many you could see foraging in the afternoon shade.
A new baby elephant and its mom amble across the expanse of their enclosure at the park in the late afternoon.Labels: San Diego Wild Animal Park 2010
