Seeing Our Wonderful Friends!

Sonja Coffman is the NKC Community/Patient Relations Coordinator, and John Stivelman M.D. is Chief Medical Officer. Sonja is a tremendous community resource and supporter. (Like us, she also has an adopted Korean daughter.) Dr. John has inspired us with his enthusiastic willingness to leave the safe confines of the nephrology practice and to go out into the community to teach and be an advocate for healthy kidney awareness. We absolutely love them, and are grateful for their friendship as well!
Marlene (L) is a kidney transplant recipient we met years ago. She's joined here by a new NKC staff person (R) (who's name escapes me months after the photo was taken). Marlene has inspired Mushroom and me with her positive attitude and loving friendship. She's fun to volunteer with too!
This is Awesome John! John was the Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) volunteer photographer, and we had the best time at NKC events with him. He has a way of brightening everyone's day! He makes me feel loved and special, which is exactly how I feel about him!
Introducing: Dillon, Iris (or, Shobu, which is Japanese for Iris), Paul and Sydney Maguire! They are most fun, silly, entertaining and generous family! Mushroom and Iris worked together, before he retired. We used to visit them on Sundays, while they were still in p.j.'s. Fun!
Kim and Debi invited me to breakfast, just before the two left for Kim's daughter's baby shower! They have been friends for decades!
An early December holiday party at Joyce's house up in Seattle (Joyce is sitting in front of me.) Standing from L to R: Gina, Kathy, Denise; Sitting - Donna and Joyce. We enjoyed each other's company, got caught up on the latest news, and had a terrific lunch! I was so glad I was able to attend, while working on our Kent rental. Great timing!
Thank goodness for Bill! He is a long-time friend of Great Grandma Eda. They went to school together, and continue to have breakfast or lunch nearly every week. He is so generous to pick her up and take her, even though it's out of his way. What a terrific friend he is to her! We like him a lot!
Isis invited her Mom's elementary school friend, Sai, her hubby Phat, and their son, Marcus to the birthday party. My brother, Cass, hired Sai's sister to work in his school sometime ago, and hadn't even met Sai. Small world!
